Clarkston Consulting Announces Partner/Associate Partner Promotions

DURHAM, NC — January 11, 2011. Clarkston Consulting, a leading management and technology consulting firm, today announced the promotions of Traigh Groover, Kyle Montgomery, and Mike Hackett to Partner and Jenny McLean to Associate Partner. These long-tenured members of the firm have been promoted based on professional achievements, leadership and commitment to brilliant client service. Traigh Groover joined Clarkston Consulting in 1995 and is based out of the firm’s South Central region. His expertise lies in defining and delivering business-enabling solutions, including operational and system strategies, program management, large enterprise application and quality systems implementations, organizational design and regulatory compliance initiatives. Traigh has 20 years of professional experience working with executives and leaders in the life sciences and consumer products industries. He received his B.S. in electrical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. A founding board member of the Ruth Wallace Foundation, Traigh also belongs to several regional organizations and charities.

Also located in the South Central region, Kyle Montgomery has been with Clarkston since 1997. Responsible for client engagements, new business development, and employee development, Kyle fosters a strong focus on value creation through operational excellence, demand and supply integration, quality and regulatory management, technology enablement and organizational effectiveness. Kyle earned his MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and his BS in marketing from The Pennsylvania State University. Additionally, he serves as the president of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Eastern North Carolina Chapter Board of Trustees.

Mike Hackett has been with Clarkston since 1997 and resides in the West region. His background is extensive in establishing and growing long-term trusted advisor relationships with clients in both the life sciences and consumer products industries. He has maintained extremely high client satisfaction ratings year after year. Mike has been instrumental in helping the firm grow its services in innovative areas, and has a proven track record of delivering across Clarkston’s service offerings, including: strategy, business process improvement and optimization, program and project management, ERP, business intelligence and analytics, trade promotion management, enterprise content and contract lifecycle management, quality and regulatory solutions, as well as organizational change management. Internally, he has been truly sought after as a leader in terms of fostering employee development. Mike will chair Clarkston’s Core Values Committee starting in 2011. Beyond his internal and client-facing responsibilities, he has also been extensively involved in establishing and maintaining relationships with many of Clarkston’s partner organizations. Mike is also active in many charitable and professional organizations such as SIM and BIOCOM, where he sits on the Medical Device Committee. He graduated with a B.S. in management information systems from the University of Arizona.

Now an Associate Partner with Clarkston Consulting, Jenny McLean lends her expertise to leading life sciences and consumer products executives and leaders in the areas of strategy, organization design, business transformation, change management, technology governance, and IT effectiveness. Jenny joined Clarkston in 1998 and is based in Clarkston’s South Central region. She has extensive experience with program management of complex business transformation efforts, including acquisitions and corporate spinoffs, and is an active member of the Network of Executive Women (NEW). Jenny received her MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and earned a B.S. in computer engineering and a B.S. in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
